SMS communication for landlords and letting agents

Stop being the moderator. Start managing properties.

TenantTalk gives landlords and letting agents two dedicated numbers for every Property: one for private Management messages and one for shared Tenant Chat. No apps, portals or personal mobile numbers.

THE ARCHITECTURE

Two numbers. One clear boundary.

TenantTalk cleanly separates private management discussions from day-to-day tenant coordination.

Number 1 of 2

Management Number

Direct private communication for repairs, rent, access notices, and tenancy questions. Messages route directly to your team dashboard, keeping personal mobile numbers hidden.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions, answered.

Do tenants need to install an app?

No. Tenants communicate through the standard text messaging app already on their mobile phone. There is no download, login or tenant account to manage. If they can send an SMS, they can use TenantTalk.

What happens to existing chat threads?

Most landlords and letting agents run both in parallel for a short handover period, then inform tenants that future property updates and management contact will move to the dedicated TenantTalk numbers. Tenants simply save two contacts: one for the Tenant Chat Number and one for the Management Number.

Moving away from informal chat threads gives your agency cleaner operational records and protects team members from out-of-hours messages.

Are communication records useful in disputes?

TenantTalk maintains a timestamped log of private Management messages and broadcast updates. This helps support property record-keeping and tenancy history.

How does TenantTalk support GDPR compliance?

TenantTalk supports UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 requirements by providing dedicated numbers that mask personal mobile numbers.

Agencies and landlords remain data controllers responsible for their own privacy notices. TenantTalk acts as a data processor providing secure messaging infrastructure and privacy by design. See our GDPR support page for details.

How does TenantTalk handle tenants who do not speak English?

Translation is included as standard. Letting agents and landlords write updates in English, and tenants receive them in their preferred language.

Can I manage multiple properties from one dashboard?

Yes. TenantTalk gives landlords and letting agencies a central dashboard for their full portfolio. You can manage properties, assign team members, and message tenants from a unified view without sharing personal mobiles.

Can team members keep personal phone numbers private?

Yes. That is a core feature of TenantTalk. Tenants text dedicated numbers. Your personal mobile number is never exposed to tenants.
